Finished Doll Design

Well I just finished one of my doll designs the other day. I have done MANY sketches to get where I am today with my dolls. I am really happy with this one. And I only need about 11,800.00 more bucks till I have enough for the prototype! That is so much money, I hope I can make it all before Im super old! BLAH I might be posting a picture here later of the doll design I haven't made up my mind yet.

Monster High Fashion Dolls.

So I have just started making clothes for the Monster High Dolls! These dolls have been on the market for almost a year now! They are pretty awesome dolls and slowly rising in popularity! These dolls are very flexible. You can remove their hands and arms. The dolls I have designed you can remove their hands as well. That is all I'm giving away as of now.

The dress I made has just sold to one of my followers here on Blogger. She has a pretty amazing collection of dolls! Many MANY more than myself!

I am also putting a few of my clothes at a farmers market this friday. I shall let you know how that works out for me! (hopefully well, ha)

New Fabric + Sales + New location!!

Yesterday was a really great day for me! I got a TON of new fabric! I have a picture of some of the new fabric, but there is a lot more that you can't even see! I really do wish I had more time to sew because I do have a closet full of fabric just waiting to be turned into something!!

Yesterday I also broke my dry spell of no sales and sold a couple of dresses! However, that seems to happen a lot on Etsy. I will not sale anything for a while and then I get a sale one after another!!

I also have a picture posted of one of my new dresses made out of my new fabric! I really love that green zebra sequin fabric but I only have a little bit of it and not really sure if I can get more or not :/

And my last great news is that I will be selling some of my barbie clothes at a local shop!! I am actually only going to be putting one or two dresses there but I am going to be leaving a card with my Etsy shop as well! I will post a picture of the dress in the shop later--maybe today or tomorrow!

Pretty Slow on Etsy Town

This past holiday weekend was so slow on Etsy, I didn't even have one sale!! That is to be expected I guess. I also posted a picture along with this blog of a new dress I did today. This is a very easy and simple dress that I do a lot of. I charge 5-6 bucks for one. Considering that most of my fabric is pretty rare and I can't get much of it and also factoring in the time it takes me to make and publish a dress like this, I think 5-6 bucks is completely reasonable (not to mention its one of kind!)

I was thinking that I should make some swimming clothing for barbie/dolls. Afterall, we are upon summer and I'm sure little girls will be bringing their dolls to the pool! (I saw one at the pool this past Sunday, so I know I'm right! )

Fashion Royalty doll!?

Has anyone out there seen the fashion royalty dolls? They are stunning! They have beautiful faces!! They are expensive but they appear to be pretty high quality. I want my dolls to have beautiful faces like those..but I will be going into a completely different direction!

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend! --pretty slow for internet sales and my doll clothes, but thats ok! I have to take the good with the bad and keep moving forward!

My Fashion Doll Adventure

The title may sound silly to you..but that's what this really is..my adventure into fashion dolls.

   It all started when I was a kid really. I've always had an unusual passion for dolls.  My dad thought it was weird and looking back on it, I guess a little boy playing with dolls could be weird, right?  However, weird led me to the path I'm on today.  I have a personal collection of dolls and other random toys all perfectly safe in their boxes.  Toys take me to a place in life that makes me smile.  I've never lost the kid in me and I wouldn't have it any other way.

   I have now started to design and sew doll clothes.  I am currently selling these clothes on Etsy.com. Why am I doing this you ask?  Well I really have one HUGE goal in mind and that is to have my own line of fashion dolls.  I already have a plan as to what I want them to be and look like, in fact I have a few that I have copy writes on.  To get these dolls made and produced is going to take a lot of time, work, money, sweat and probably a few tears. This, my friends, is what my blog is about, my personal journey to creating my life time goal.  I am starting from scratch and I'm going to post the up and downs as I go.  Hopefully you can laugh, or cry along with me.
